Jan 13, 2010 --- Camp IWannaFly and Camp IGottaFly dates for summer 2010 have been set! We will be hosting two beginner level sessions and one intermediate level session this summer.

Nov 21, 2009 --- On a perfect sunny, cool, calm fall Saturday, Northampton Airport hosted its first Wheels to Wings Intro Flight day with two very enthusiastic participants.

Nov 9, 2009 --- Join us on Saturday, November 21  for a chance to learn more about aviation in a 1 hour ground school session followed by a 30 minute flight in our Light Sport.

Oct 14, 2009 --- Come join us for a weekend seminar where you will receive in-depth instruction in airport operations, traffic patterns, radio communications, airspace and 90 minutes in the air!

Sep 18, 2009 --- On Saturday October 10th we will be hosting a spin training seminar given by the FAA's Marilyn Pearson. She will cover stall/spin threats, aerodynamics and spin recognition and recovery. This seminar will count towards the FAA Wings Program for those who are participating.

Jun 30, 2009 --- We have filled all the slots for our summer camps and have closed registration.

Jun 22, 2009 --- Ground schools for private pilot and instrument ratings will be starting soon.

Jun 1, 2009 --- Northampton Airport's chief flight instructor Rich MacIsaac set an aviation record by landing at all 39 public use airport in Massachusetts in a single day.

May 22, 2009 --- Chapter #1478 of the Experimental Airplane Association & Northampton Airport is hosting a fly-in on May 30th. All general aviation planes are welcome!

Apr 27, 2009 --- On May 20, Rich MacIsaac, manager of Northampton Airport in Northampton, Massachusetts will hopefully join aviation legends in the pages of the National Aeronautic Association's record books.

Mar 25, 2008 --- Northampton Airport will be hosting a Young Eagles rally on Saturday, June 7. We have a group of 20 or so local youth who will be coming out to experience flight for perhaps the first time and we need active EAA pilots to help make these kids' dreams come true!

Mar 18, 2008 --- Join our certified flight instructors for ground based instruction in which we will cover a wide range of topics including time on our flight simulator, learning about aircraft systems, navigation, basic flight planning, airplane maintenance, hands-on activities with airplanes, careers in aviation and a beginner’s guide to aviation.

Mar 11, 2008 --- We are trying to organize a Private Pilot Ground School to begin the week of April 7th. The class would run one night per week for about 12 weeks.

Nov 30, 2007 --- The light sport is proving as popular among media outlets as it is among pilots. Recently, Daily Hampshire Gazette photographer Jerrey Roberts spent some time at the airport working on a piece about the plane.

Nov 14, 2007 --- In a test of the durability and reliability of the Light Sport, two Indian Air Force pilots took a Flight Design CTsw around the world in just under 80 days, exclusively flying VFR.

Nov 6, 2007 --- Northampton Aeronautics regretfully announces that Chief Flight Instructor, Radek Wyrzykowski is preparing for his final departure from Northampton Airport. Radek has decided to pursue a new opportunity as Chief Flight Instructor and Director of Operations at Horizon Aviation in Providence, Rhode Island.

Oct 3, 2007 --- If you happened to swing by the airport on that sunny Saturday, September 22 morning, you would have seen quite a crowd! The parking lot was overflowing, the community hangar was buzzing with activity, and the ramp was loaded with 19 excited Westfield Middle School students and their families anxiously awaiting the arrival of Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Young Eagle pilots.

Sep 18, 2007 --- Sixteen-year-old Daniel Lyszczak has been selected as the Northampton Flight School's student of the month for September.

Aug 17, 2007 --- Sixteen-year-old Daniel Lyszak became the youngest student to solo in the history of Northampton Aeronautics when he took off on August 11, 2007. He did his solo flight with just eleven hours of flight time in his logbook, the FAA minimum.

Aug 14, 2007 --- Barry Field's recent cross country trip with his son across the United States nabbed him a piece in the Daily Hampshire Gazette on August 11, 2007. The story touched on his personal flying history and what it was like to fly with his 12-year-old son.

Aug 6, 2007 --- When 15 year-old Mary Jo Pham took a flight lesson this spring, she wrote about the experience for the Republican's Unlisted section. Later, her account was recorded and aired on WAMC public radio.

Jul 31, 2007 --- Despite the driving rains, the crashing thunder and lightning lighting up the early morning sky, the 2nd Annual Fly-In Breakfast on Saturday July 28 was a hit!

Jul 17, 2007 --- There is good news for all of you flying into the Northampton Airport: the expansion of the ramp area is complete!

Jul 15, 2007 --- The list of perks of flying into Northampton Airport just got longer! You will now be able to rent a car from the airport through Enterprise and pick it up at the field!

Jun 14, 2007 --- The paving of the ramp area in front of the maintenance hangar will more than double the number of high quality tie-downs available at the Northampton Airport. Updates are also on tap for the fuel pump area.
