Ramp Expansion Work Completed

Jul 17, 2007 --- There is good news for all of you flying into the Northampton Airport: the expansion of the ramp area is complete!

"This is something we have wanted to do since we bought the place," owner Bob Bacon said. "We were finally able to do it."

The new space makes things roomier on the ramp and increases the number of paved tie downs to 15. (view photos)

You will also notice fewer traffic jams at the pump these days. New pavement was added around the fuel pumps to improve traffic flow and allow two planes to fuel up at the same time.

"We are not only excited about the extra space, but also how much safer the new surface is for the planes," Bacon added.

One final stage of paving on the northeast side of the property will be completed later in the year.
