Youngest Ever Northampton Flight Student Solos

Youngest Ever Northampton Flight Student Solos
Aug 17, 2007 --- Sixteen-year-old Daniel Lyszak became the youngest student to solo in the history of Northampton Aeronautics when he took off on August 11, 2007. He did his solo flight with just eleven hours of flight time in his logbook, the FAA minimum.

A New Jersey resident, Daniel spent part of his summer in flight training in Northampton. He plans on getting his private pilot's license when he turns 17 in September.

Currently, Daniel is a member of the Civil Air Patrol and has aspirations of being a commercial pilot. Why does he fly? According to him, "I love to fly because it makes you feel free!"
