Nov 21, 2009 --- On a perfect sunny, cool, calm Saturday in November, Northampton Airport hosted its first Wheels to Wings Intro Flight day. We had two very enthusiastic participants show for a one hour ground school and a 30 minute flight in our light sport.

Instructor John Smith flew with both students and thought the flights went very well. As we anxiously await the completion of the hands-free adaptive controls from Flight Design, students did as much flying as they were able and comfortable with. The new controls will enable those who do not have use of their legs to do all their flying using a modified hand control.

We are planning to schedule another Wheels to Wings intro day in the spring. If you are interested in learning more about our program or want to sign up for our mailing list, please contact us!
