The Piper Warrior is a light aircraft designed for flight training and personal use. The Warrior is a four-seat, single-engine airplane with low-mounted wings. All Warriors have a single door on the co-pilot side, which is entered by stepping on the wing. In 1978, Piper upgraded the Warrior to 160 horsepower, changing its name to Cherokee Warrior II. Later models of the Warrior II, manufactured after July 1982 , incorporate a gross weight increase to 2,440 pounds.
